We've always had a fresh approach to fitness.
In 1928, our founder had what was then a radical idea: he wanted to build a club where men, women, and children could enjoy fitness, fine dining, outdoor recreation, and the beauty of Lake Calhoun.
That dream faced plenty of challenges. At the time, women and children were forbidden in private clubs. The market crashed in 1929, World War II erupted, and the property faced financial obstacles.
But in the spirit of the Calhoun Beach Club, all those hurdles were overcome. In 1976, the club was reopened and has since fulfilled its original intent: a place where members come to strengthen their bodies and community.
Today you'll find a spotless fitness center with 40,000 square feet of amenities, and a staff that understands your goals and greets you by name. We think our founder would be proud of what Calhoun Beach Club has become. We sure are.

Eden Prairie School of Rock is the premier after school music education for kids. We specialize in teaching guitar, drums, piano, vocals and bass guitar.

For Ages 3-5:
A weekly group class which is designed to encourage your child to reach their developmental milestones through fun musical activities. Music is that magical avenue into a little soul with untapped ideas, images, and movement. We aim to unearth that potential.

Set in our innovative classrooms infused with rock music, these little artists explore rhythm patterns, tonal processing, basic music syntax, and make emotional connections to great music. Confidence emerges leading them down their own little creative journey. We are looking to contribute to the full development of confident, imaginative, young children, who go out and inspire their world.

For Ages 5-6:
Mommy & Me Keys Lessons. So many parents say, "I wish I had taken music lessons as a kid." And now you can! Only this time it'll be so much more fun because you can take lessons WITH your child. In each 6-week session, you and your young rocker will learn to play a tune on the keyboard (electric piano) -- you on one octave and your rocker on another. Practice together at home. For Ages 6-7:
The School of Rock Rookies program inspires first and second graders to pursue music by channeling their inner rock stars. Young rockers learn pitch, rhythm and musical teamwork through musical games and group rehearsal of simple rock songs. This hour-long program is entirely group based, so kids learn how to play in a band right from the start. The program Includes once a week group rehearsal where they will experience the magic of playing all of the major rock instruments: guitar, bass, keyboard/piano, drums, and vocals.

For 8+ Years Old:
Our program was founded in 1998 on the belief that taking music lessons and never playing a gig is like going to basketball practice every day and never playing a game. After a while, there's no point. So we combine private lessons and group rehearsals so your child learns to play the instrument of their choice and to work as a team within a band setting.

Once your child is comfortable playing with other students and has mastered the basics of the playing their instrument with the band s/he will graduate to the Performance Program. In Performance, your child will continue one-on-one lessons with a private music instructor and the group rehearsals prepare students to perform a live rock concert in a real rock venue. This is a real confidence booster (not to mention tons of fun!)

Advanced students may audition for additional programs including a monthly performance, a spot on the Road Crew (house band that performs frequently through the summer and occasionally through the school year), Summer Tour which includes performing in multiple cities over multiple dates, perform at Summerfest in Milwaukee as part of the annual School of Rock International Music Festival and the nationally acclaimed AllStars program which is comprised of the top 1.5% of School of Rock students from around the world.

Dojo Karate Eden Prairie teaches westernized Korean Tae Kwon Do, or American Karate. Located in Eden Prairie MN, we make it convenient for families around the Twin Cities to practice Karate together. Our focus is on the success of each of our students, ranging from preschoolers to adults with classes uniquely designed to meet needs & abilities of each student, ensuring their success through exercise, self-discipline, mutual respect & positive reinforcement.

Our passion lies in watching our students become lifelong martial arts participants and reaching their highest potential.
